Oboist Min kyung Chun graduated from Seoul
Arts High School and Seoul National University College of Music. She then
completed the professional performance course at the Berlin University of the
Arts in Germany and graduated with top honors from the Stuttgart University of
Music and Performing Arts. During her school years, she began her collaboration
with the Seoul Arts High School Wind Ensemble, followed by performances with the
Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra, Suwon Philharmonic Orchestra, Academy Ensemble,
and more. Upon graduation from the Stuttgart University of Music, she
collaborated with the Württemberg Chamber Orchestra Heilbronn, a privilege
awarded to the top performer, and also served as a guest principal in
orchestras such as the Berliner Chamber Orchestra and Bruckner Symphony
Orchestra, performing across Germany and Europe.
She won first place in the 43rd Dong-A
Music Competition, and received awards in numerous other competitions such as
the Seoul National University Wind Competition and Woo Hyun Competition.
Additionally, she appeared on KBS 1tv's 'Classic Odyssey,' receiving favorable
reviews. She has held solo recitals at places like Ilsin Hall, Ulsan Culture
& Arts Center, Haman Culture & Arts Center, and Park Chang Soo House
Concert, and participated in events like the IBK Chamber Hall opening concert
at the Seoul Arts Center, Tongyeong International Music Festival, Busan
International Music Festival, Busan Cinema Center's invitational concerts,
Isang Yun Memorial Park planned performance series, Beijing Modern Music
Festival in China, Bangkok Asian Music Festival, Korean Music Day in Karlsruhe
in Germany, Clara Festival in Belgium, Chantilly Festival in France, Basel
Contemporary Music Festival in Switzerland, and Bratislava Contemporary Music
Festival in Slovakia, expanding her activities in the field of chamber music
across Asia and Europe.
She is currently an adjunct professor at
Sookmyung Women's University and teaches at Dankook University, Yewon School,
Seoul Arts High School, and Sunhwa Arts High School. She is also an active
member of the Ensemble TIMF and Soloists Chamber Group.
